Opening 2024
Early Onset Dementia, Progressive Neurological conditions and Rehabilitation for Younger & Older Adults
The Lodge will be specially converted from its current design and floor plan to accommodate smaller homely environments for residents, comprising 4 units for up to six residents, 26 in total.
The homes are specially designed to encourage social inclusion, participation in activities, greater quality of life and a community feel, whilst still giving a sense of independent living in each household. This approach actively promotes involvement in every day and themed activities for residents and their families.
The Lodge grounds will also house a wellbeing centre, cafe, cinema and activity space which has been created to help those with early onset dementia, progressive neurological conditions and rehabilitation maintenance. There are also designated social and quiet areas to provide calm and safe environments for residents’ various needs.
The care at The Lodge
The design and purpose of The Lodge is to provide specialist neurological care, this is particularly catered for those residents who cannot be supported in more traditional nursing homes due to the level of challenging behaviour and the complexity of their neurological conditions, which require a multidisciplinary team to assess, consult and act swiftly.
Neuropsychiatric and neuropsychological input is essential to monitor and adjust treatment plans in a coordinated and responsive way, due to the variability and unpredictability of residents. This enables us to offer a high level of care that is fit for purpose and meets resident’s needs.
The location
The Lodge is located on the outskirts of Ipswich in Suffolk in beautiful countryside and is only 2.5 miles from the town centre . It has all local amenities residents and their families may require to hand, including an easily accessible village centre through an established network of roads, rail, airport and local public transport links.
