Complex Care

Complex Medical Conditions

We provide complex Nurse led care which specialises in supporting people that have long-term disabilities, chronic illness, or who have substantial ongoing neurological, medical or ongoing health care needs, including but not limited to those discharged from hospital following high dependency care and treatment.

All our residents’ biopsychosocial needs will be supported, even if they remain in a minimally aware state and are mainly cared for in bed.

Examples of people who might need complex care may include those with the following conditions:

  • Acquired Brain Injury
  • Spinal Injury
  • Physical Injury/Severe Mobility Issues
  • Neurological Conditions
  • Semi Vegetative State
  • Respiratory or Airway Challenges
  • Chronic or Long-term Illness
  • Long Term Covid

Our complex care model aims to consistently meet their needs, while offering the best care possible, including palliative / end of life support where required. This helps to ease the pressure on families, giving them the confidence that their loved is receiving safe, effective, compassionate and high-quality care.
